The European tabloids have found out all about Valerie, so her father thinks it's high time she head back to Virginia. Of course, there's a major downside to that...
Unfortunately, time in Virginia means time with Mom—and Mom's live-in girlfriend, Gabrielle. Can Valerie deal with living with a lesbian couple, half of which is her mother?
To top things off, David Anderson, the guy she's been dreaming about since kindergarten, asks her out. Should she take a chance on David? Or stick with Georg, who's not too happy with her at the moment?
Niki is a trivia fanatic. If anyone grabs the Trivial Pursuit game out of the closet, Niki's the first one waving her hand and asking to play. So in one scene in Spin Control, Niki has Valerie Winslow playing a fast-paced game of trivia while out with a very interesting partner. Coming up with trivia questions for Valerie was one of the most entertaining parts of the book for Niki to write.
